Our Story
Beese & Seeds was created by Lucy Ripley Salmon in 2021 after the sudden loss of my Nan, née Beese. My Nan loved her garden and would spend many days out in it, she especially loved her ‘secret garden’ which she filled with all sorts of flowers. My Nan once bought me a book about gardening which inspired me to start growing my own flowers and create my own garden.
At Beese & Seeds we only grow our flowers from seeds and plant with pollinators in mind. We focus on using natural ingredients in our handmade beauty products to make them better for the environment and good for skin. Help us to celebrate and enjoy nature.
Lucy’s Nan
Beese & Seeds was created in honour of my lovely Nan. Her lasting legacy is the beautiful garden she left behind for our family to continue to enjoy. I remember my Nan often sitting in her ‘secret garden’, surrounded by her favourite roses – which smell so beautiful. I have many fond memories of spending time at my Grandparent’s house, sitting in the garden drinking coffee and talking about the environment. One year I started to grow flowers and vegetables in their polytunnel. This eventually became Beese & Seeds.
